  • The only thing better than Sagrada is giant Sagrada.

  • Horizons is a cool-looking spacefaring 4X game.

  • A new edition of the modern classic Cthulhu mythos game Arkham Horror is coming, and it wants to kill you.

  • Look, you’re always gonna get a picture of giant Catan.

  • War Chest is a fun bag-building game mixed with a tactical skirmish wargame.

  • For the crazy cat lady in all of us.

  • The new edition of dungeon-crawling deckbuilder Thunderstone is giant (and, from what we’ve played, quite fun).

  • Me waiting for the demo of that hot new game to finally open up.

  • At Gen Con, we pay money to stand in line for the privilege of buying things.

  • Coimbra is not only the prettiest Eurogame of the year, it may also be the best.

  • Big Battletech.

  • Hey, buddy.

This past weekend, we stormed downtown Indianapolis with 60,000 other tabletop gamers to attend the biggest board game party in America. Gen Con—”the best four days in gaming”—is now in its 51st year, and 2018’s show was just as entertaining and exhausting as we remember from years past.

We brought some pictures home to share the madness with those who couldn’t make it. Above, you’ll find images of our adventures in the hallowed halls of the Indiana Convention Center. Below, enjoy a bonus gallery of some of our favorite cosplayers. And be sure to check back this Saturday, when we’ll post a feature running down our favorite games from the con.
